Signal Shield is the latest prototype from Nissan aimed to stamp out distracted driving. Signal Shield works to block incoming signals to the phone so you can keep your eyes on the road and away from your messages and social media notifications.

The Signal Shield uses the 200-year-old technology of the “Faraday cage” for this latest innovation. Just open up your arm rest and place your phone inside to keep your phone from receiving any incoming connections. When you’re done, just take your phone out, and it’s ready to use again. No settings to change or buttons to push. Easy and effective!

If you use your phone to play music while you drive, don’t worry. Your phone will still play music stored locally on your phone via the USB or aux input. It’s simple!
